Copy a whole project with Links and Linkmodules of new project

Hello!

Is there an easy way to duplicate an existing project in a way, that the duplicated project has only links within itself?

i.e. the module

/original/DesignModule -> /original/RequirementModule

should be

/copy/DesignModule -> /copy/RequirementModule

When i mark a project "project" (even as Administrator) and want to create the copied folder  "Copy of project" by pasting it, the Copy-Button is disabled.

Is there a way to copy Projects generally with Copy and Paste?

With best regards,
Bjoern

Hello,

you can always create an archive of the project then restore it under a new name.

Hello,

Yes archive/restore.  The Archived project has no links outside itself. Trying to "copy folder" ends up with links from the new project to the old, or visa-versa.

You can convert a folder to a project with the file menu:

  • Convert folder to Project.  Be advised Project names and top-level folder names must be unique so you may need to rename the folder first.
  • Archive it
  • convert it back to a folder.  Rename it back?
  • restore archive with new name.

Trying to move modules around to make sure your "Folder" has just the right stuff can work; but moving them back requires a level of care that I lack.  I think it easier to just archive the larger project, restore it, then search for things you don't want and delete-then-purge them.
